Paul Clement closes in on Swansea City job

Paul Clement has agreed to become Swansea City manager on a two-and-a-half year deal and will leave his job as Bayern Munich assistant manager.

Bayern Munich had given Swansea City permission to speak to Carlo Ancelotti's right hand man. Clement was previously interviewed by the club in October but was unsuccessful as Bob Bradley was appointed as their manager.

Clement will be the third Swansea manager and it is likely to be at Selhurst Park on Tuesday when Swansea City take on Crystal Palace.

Former manager, Bradley, was sacked last month following a spell of seven defeats in 11 games.

Clement will take over with Swansea being four points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League after losses in their last four matches.
