Derby County extend shirt deal

Derby County have announced that they have signed a five-year extension with their official kit manufacturer Umbro.

The agreement, which started in 2014, will see Umbro supply Derby County's playing kits until the end of the 2021/22 season. Additionally, the kit company will be provided with extensive advertising space inside Pride Park Stadium.

In addition, Umbro will continue to provide training wear for Derby’s management staff and squad, along with sportswear for supporters, management and players.

John Vicars, Derby County’s chief operating officer “We have very much enjoyed working with Umbro during the last three seasons. Umbro are a leading global sports brand and we’ve been extremely happy with the quality of service, in particular the kits we’ve worn during that time, which our supporters have positively welcomed."

He added “With this new agreement completed, we can now look forward to continuing the excellent working relationship we have with them for five more years. Umbro has great links with our club history and, on top of that, we’re delighted that they are also going to be part of our future as well.”

Ewan Scott, a director at GLD Group, which is a supplier of Umbro, added: “We are very proud to renew our partnership with Derby County as their technical kit supplier for the upcoming seasons ahead. There is a lot of history between Umbro and the club and we hope that within this partnership period we can create some lasting memories for the fans, both on the pitch with the players wearing our product, and with the fans wearing the iconic logo.”
