England: Roy Hodgson gives first call up to Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater in squad for Germany and Holland friendlies
The 26 year old midfielder has been a key part of Leicester's remarkable rise to the top of the Premier League and joins teammate Jamie Vardy in the squad.
For the England squad these two games are the last chance to show what they can do before Roy Hodgson has to announce his Euro 2016 squad in May.
Two strikers who have missed a lot of action for their country in recent months are Danny Welbeck and Daniel Sturridge, who both return to the squad.
Sturridge has not played for England for well over a year, after a spate of injuries, but has managed to return to fitness in recent weeks. Likewise for Welbeck, who has been impressive since returning for club Arsenal despite their relative struggles.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino said earlier this week that Hodgson could pick up to eight Spurs players for his squad after their recent form, but only five made the cut, with the likes of Tom Carroll, Ryan Mason and Kieran Trippier missing out.
More notable absentees include captain Wayne Rooney, who has insisted he will be fit for the Euros, but will still be out for several more weeks.
His Manchester United teammate Luke Shaw is continuing his comeback from a broken leg suffered last year, with Hodgson previously stating he would still consider him for the squad if he was fit.
Arsenal duo Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain are two other regulars who miss out through injury.
