Evo-Stik become sponsor of Southern League for second time

EVO-STIK have returned as the title sponsor of the Southern League on a deal that will last an initial 21 months.

The Bostik brand, who currently sponsor the Northern Premier League, were also on board with the Southern League from 2011-13 before being replaced by Calor.

Their one-year deal expired in the summer and the league were left running without a sponsor for the first time since 2005 with chairman Ken Turner saying back in August: “Having reached the final stage with a large national company at the end of June, it was disappointing that they sadly decided not to proceed, so it was back to the drawing board where we remain.”

However, the league have now secured a deal that will last for 21 months with an option for a further year’s sponsorship until the end of the 2016-17 season.

A league statement said: “The Directors and Officers of the Southern Football League are pleased to announce an agreement between Bostik (Evo-Stik) and the Southern League to sponsor our competition over the next 21 months with an option to negotiate a further twelve months for 2016/2017."

“The League will be known as The Evo-Stik League Southern and the divisions known as The Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division, The Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central and The Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West.”
