Evo-Stik league attendances pass 300k
Attendances in the Evo-Stik league this season have passed 300,000 according to the League's official statistician and historian Dominic McKenzie.
McKenzie was appointed last season to keep a full statistical record of all three divisions and according to him more than 300,000 fans have passed through the turnstiles at for the Evo-Stik's 68 clubs by the weekend since August.
Stourbridge were among a number of clubs highlighted by McKenzie for leading the way in attracting more fans after the club broke through a major milestone of 15,000 fans.
McKenzie said: "On Saturday Stourbridge broke through the 15,000 season's attendance mark with a magnificent gate of 753 for their game with Mickleover Sports. On the previous Tuesday the Glassboys visited Halesowen Town and boosted the derby gate to an amazing 2127 - the season's top figure so far."
He added "Other teams doing well are Stafford Rangers at over 12,000 so far and Corby Town, Halesowen Town and Spennymoor Town who are all aiming to go through the five figure barrier soon with over 9,000 spectators each so far. At this stage of the season the Premier League's grand total is 155,428, in Division One South it is 65,979 and in Division One North 80,991, adding up to a magnificent 302,398 for the season thus far."
