FAI sign New Balance kit deal

 
The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has agreed a deal with New Balance which will make them the new kit supplier for its national teams.

The deal will start in August, New Balance will provide the Republic of Ireland’s men’s and women’s teams at all ages with playing kit, training apparel, and equipment.

The new deal will signal the end of the FAI’s long-standing partnership with Umbro which started in 1994.

“The FAI is delighted to announce this relationship for our international teams,” said John Delaney, chief executive of the FAI. “The Republic of Ireland jersey is recognisable all around the world and is synonymous with the passion that our players and our supporters are renowned for. We're looking forward to revealing the New Balance kits that will be worn by all of our competitive national teams as they enter into a very exciting time for international football.”

Richard Wright, general manager of New Balance Football, added: “This truly is a fantastic collaboration for the brand with such a strongly supported national team. Ireland boast some of the most passionate supporters in the world and we look forward to creating kits for them to be proud of, hoping to be a part of the success on the pitch.”
