Former Brentford boss in talks with Rangers over manager job

Scottish side Rangers are in talks with former Brentford manager Mark Warburton.
Following their 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Motherwell in the play-off finals, Rangers will be spending another season in the Scottish Championship.
Current boss Stuart McCall is still thought to have a good chance of staying at the club, having taken over in February, and guiding them through to third place and the play-off final.
But with the new Rangers board led by Dave King now in place at Ibrox, the club are thought to be considering other managerial options should they choose not to keep McCall on.
Warburton, whose assistant at Brentford was former Rangers captain David Weir, has held talks with the club over the possibility of taking the job.
Speaking about Rangers on Monday, Warburton said: "From my point of view they are a massive club.
"I have huge respect for the size of the club and the fan base at Rangers. Who wouldn't?"
"I am well aware of the tradition and history of the club so I would never be anything other than absolutely respectful of a club of that stature."
Warburton left Brentford at the end of the season after guiding them to the play-off semi finals, where they were beaten by Middlesbrough.
His departure was announced several months before however, when he revealed that the club is wanting to move in a different direction that he didn't agree with.
