Former Leeds United boss Steve Evans set to join Mansfield
It's that time of year with managers falling like nine-pins in the Football League.
Former Rotherham United and Leeds United boss Steve Evans looks certain to be named Mansfield Town's new manager - possibly as early as Wednesday of this week.
This after former boss Adam Murray left his job as manager after two years in charge on Monday, with the Stags 18th in the table.
Evans, 54, was sacked by Championship side Leeds in May and has twice won promotion from the fourth tier.
After taking Crawley into League One, he won successive promotions from League Two to the Championship with Rotherham.
His no nonsense style doesn't suit everyone in football but has proved he can operate at smaller clubs with limited budgets. If indeed he is the one to take on the job.
