Gary Lineker to present MOTD in his shorts after Leicester win title

 Football News 24/7

Former Leicester star and lifelong fan Gary Lineker said he wouldn't have backed Leicester at 10 million to one at the start of the season. Lineker, who scored 95 goals for his boyhood club, will now have to present the first episode of next season's Match Of The Day in his pants after he jokingly promised to do so in December if his former side went on to win the league.

Linker was just one of a host of famous people who were lining up to congratulate the Foxes - including Prime Minister David Cameron who hailed the club's win an 'extraordinary and thoroughly deserved' effort.

Mr Cameron, who saw his side Aston Villa relegated this season, wrote: 'Many congratulations to Leicester. An extraordinary, thoroughly deserved, Premier League title.'

The title was secured as the final whistle blew at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea held Tottenham Hotspur to a 2-2 draw.

Thousands of Leicester fans had gathered at pubs up and down the country to watch the result, which ultimately saw their club crowned champions of the Premier League against all the odds.

As the final whistle blew, stars from around the world inundated Twitter with celebratory messages applauding the unbelievable feat which will go down in history as one of the most unlikely sporting achievements.
