Gillingham sack Pennock after dfeat to Rochdale

In almost simultaneous announcements Gillingham followed Oldham in parting company with their manager. This after the Gills were hammered 3-0 by Rochdale at the weekend.

Ady Pennock leaves with the club 22nd in the table and with just one win this season.

He was appointed as Justin Edinburgh's successor in January and guided the club to safety.

Former Gills boss Peter Taylor was appointed as Director of Football in the summer with Pennock staying on as head coach.

Jamie Day has also left the club at the same time.
