Gillingham sack kit man

Gillingham kit man, Bob Lewin, has been sacked after their away strip was left behind in Kent before last Saturday’s match against MK Dons.

Gillingham had to ask staff in the MK Dons club shop to print numbers on the back of their training kit. They were all ready to play in the training kit however, the away kit arrived at Stadium MK 15 minutes before kick off.

Lewin 's replacement until the end of the season is his predecessor Malcolm Steadman, who retired last year.

"I would like to thank Bob for what he has done since he has been here," Gillingham manager Adi Pennock said.
