Grimsby Town reappoint Russell Slade
Grimsby Town have appointed Russell Slade as manager for the second time.
Slade replaces Marcus Bignot, after he was sacked as manager on Monday after five months as manager.
Slade previously spent two seasons as Grimsby manager from May 2004 until May 2006 before he left to join Yeovil.
Grimsby are the third side that Slade has managed this season following spells with League One sides Charlton and Coventry earlier this season.
He has appointed former Grimsby player and coach Paul Wilkinson.
In his previous spell at the club he led them to the League Two play-off final during the 2005-06 campaign, which they lost 1-0 to Cheltenham.
"It was a welcome return, I'm delighted to be back. Let's hope this time we can improve on last time," Slade said.
