According to the Derby telegraph, youngsters at Ilkeston Football Club Juniors are sporting new kits thanks to a sponsorship deal with leading local house builder Taylor Wimpey East Midlands.

The developer has donated £500 to the club's under-12s Reds team to pay for a new strip.

Ian Mottram, team manager and coach, said: "Taylor Wimpey do a lot of work in the local community so it's great to have them sponsoring our team.

"The boys are overjoyed – they cannot believe that such a big company want to sponsor them. They are buzzing and it has certainly given them a confidence boost! We can't thank Taylor Wimpey enough, their help is very much appreciated."
The team trains on Fridays and plays on Sundays in the Derby Junior League.

Mariana Knight, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, said: "We are committed to supporting the local communities in which we build our new homes so we were only too happy to sponsor the team. We hope the youngsters enjoy training and playing in their new strip and wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season!"
