Konami follow deal with Liverpool with a deal with Dortmund
German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have become the latest partner of video game developer Konami, the publisher of the popular Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series.
The four-year deal begins with the forthcoming PES 17 game, and will see Dortmund players, kits and facilities accurately represented within the game, including the famous ‘Yellow Wall’ stand in the club's Westfalenstadion home ground.
This deal follows a recently completed a deal with Premier League side Liverpool - the current club of former Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp.
"We look forward to a close relationship with Konami and the PES team," said Carsten Cramer, Dortmund's sales and marketing director. "Our fans expect football of the highest quality and we know that Konami has the ability to replicate our playing style and the abilities of our team perfectly."
