Late drama as Scotland v England ends all square

T

he World Cup qualifier between arch rivals Scotland and England turned into a classic - but that looked very unlikely with 3 minutes of normal time left.

England led through an Oxlade-Chamberlain goal and looked to be in control of this vital qualifier. But a free kick on the edge of the box enabled Leigh Griffiths to score his firm goal for Scotland at the 13th attempt. This was quickly followed by another free-kick goal in almost identical circumstances.

The Scottish fans were euphoric looking to a first victory over England in over 30 years.

Step up England skipper Harry Kane to score a very late equaliser. The result not only spared England's blushes but makes it very difficult for Scotland to qualify for the finals now.

England remain top of Group F with 14 points ahead of Slovenia. Scotland have only 8 points and face an uphill task.
