League One: Joe Dunne leaves Colchester United by mutual consent after poor start to season

Colchester United have parted ways with manager Joe Dunne after picking up only one point in their opening five League One fixtures.
Their single point came on the opening day of the season with a 2-2 draw against Oldham, but they have lost their last four games, including two on the bounce at home to Doncaster and Peterborough.
The 41-year-old and his assistant Mark Kinsella, have both left the club by mutual consent after just under two years in charge.
Colchester chairman Robbie Cowling said,"Joe is a Colchester United legend. He has done a remarkable job as manager."
Dunne previously made almost 200 appearances for the club in two spells during his playing career.
Having taken charge in September 2012, Dunne considered his position in January 2013 having only won 6 games since taking charge. He resolved to stay on however and they finished 16th in the league.
But this season's poor start has been enough to convince Dunne and the club that a change in direction is needed for both parties.
