League One: Oldham confirm former Blackburn midfielder David Dunn will remain as manager permanently
Oldham Athletic Football Club have announced confirmation that David Dunn has been appointed as the club’s new first team manager on a permanent basis.
Commenting on the appointment, chairman Simon Corney said: “Everyone at the club has been very impressed with the way David has gone about his business since taking over the reins on an interim basis."
“His dedication, hard work and exacting standards have already had a positive effect on the club and the way he has approached the role has made it impossible for us not to give him his chance.
“We believe his ambition, skills and positive influence will be pivotal to the club's progression."
Dunn, 35, only joined the Latics in the summer after leaving Blackburn, but was asked to step in as interim manager following the sacking of Darren Kelly in September.
Dunn's four games in charge so far have all ended in draws, and the side are currently 18th in League One.
