League One side Peterborough announce Dave Robertson as new permanent first team manager

League One side Peterborough have appointed David Robertson as their new permanent manager on a three year deal.

Robertson has been in temporary charge of the club since Darren Ferguson's second spell in charge of the club ended in February.

Posh won six of their 15 games, drawing four and losing five as they finished ninth in League One this season.

He will be assisted by Grant McCann, 35, who spent five years as a player with Peterborough before joining Irish club Linfield in January.

"I am delighted to finally announce that David Robertson is our new first team manager with Grant McCann joining him as assistant manager." said club chairman Darragh MacAnthony
They have both signed 3 year deals which I have no doubt will lead to 3 of the most successful years since I have become Chairman of the football club."

"Truth be known, I always wanted to hand over the reins full time to both DR & GMC based on my experience of working with them for the short period of time last season, but felt it my duty to the club and its supporters to take my time with the process and interview other candidates to 100% make sure my decision was the correct one."
