League Two sides Wycombe and Northampton fined by FA for player scuffle

The FA have charged League Two sides Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town £1000 for failing to control their players during their 1-1 draw.

The match, which took place earlier this month, ended with a coming together between the sets of players which led to four bookings in the final minute of the game.

Aaron Holloway headed in a late Wycombe equaliser at Adams Park, which led to the incident.

Both sides have were charged with failure to ensure their players behaved in an orderly manner, and have now been fined the standard £1000 penalty for the offence.

Wycombe are currently top of League Two, having only lost two of their opening 14 games, whilst Northampton are currently sitting in 16th place, five points behind the play-off places.
