Leeds United junior kit energised with new sponsor
Leeds United have confirmed a new one-year partnership with Utilita Energy for their junior kits.
The pay-as-you-go smart energy supplier was the official energy partner for Leeds last season, and will now serve as their junior replica shirt sponsor for the 2017/18 campaign.
As part of the deal Utilita Energy will also support the work of the Leeds United Foundation by donating £2 to the community project for every junior replica shirt that is sold.
“We are delighted to continue our innovative approach to creating added value from our junior replica shirt sponsorship with Utilita,” said Paul Bell, Leeds United’s executive director. “Last season we were able to successfully support a worldwide campaign with our partner Greenpeace and this season, through the new partnership with Utilita, we can help support and expand the fantastic work of our Foundation in the local community.”
Jem Maidment, head of marketing and communications at Utilita, added: “The work the foundation carries out has an incredible impact on the lives of so many children and young people in West Yorkshire. “Significantly increasing our commitment illustrates how impressed we are with the club and the tireless work of the foundation. It is an honour to play our part – as it is also an honour to see our logo on the junior replica version of such a famous shirt – especially at such an exciting time for the club.”
