Clipper Logistics are owned by lifelong fan of Leeds United Steve Parkin and it was rumoured that he was looking to buy the club from Massimo Cellino towards the end of last year.

 

It's been speculated that Steve Parkin has wanted to become involved in the club in recent weeks and has been seen with the Leeds owner on multiple occasions during matchdays at Elland Road.

 

Parkin told the club official website "As a lifelong Leeds fan, I’m delighted to have the business I’ve built over the past two decades become a sponsor of the club. It will expose the Clipper name to a global audience, as we continue to grow as a business and help shape the future of retail logistics.”

 

Leeds United are delighted to be associated with the Yorkshire town brand, the club's executive director Paull Bell said We are delighted that Clipper Logistics Plc has chosen to sponsor the East Stand here at Elland Road. Clipper was founded in Leeds and has been a huge success story for the region, expanding across the UK and into Europe."
