Leeds United to announce appointment of new manager with former Wigan boss Uwe Rosler favourite
Leeds United have confirmed that they will announce the appointment of a new manager at a press conference this afternoon.
Current boss Neil Redfearn was the third manager to take over at Elland Road this season, following the brief tenures of David Hockaday and Darko Milanic.
His contract however expires at the end of the season, but since the return of owner Massimo Cellino to the club last month, Redfearn's future has come under increasing speculation.
Cellino was banned from being involved with the club in January after he was found guilty of tax evasion in his native Italy, but was allowed to attend the club's final game of the season and their end of season awards ceremony.
Despite being hugely popular with the fans, Cellino stated that he was 'unsure' whether he would keep Redfearn on, but the club this morning released a press call for a news conference at 15.00 this afternoon, where they confirmed a new manager will be announced.
It is widely expected that the man named will be former Wigan boss Uwe Rosler. Rosler was sacked by Wigan in November and has been without a club ever since.
