Leicester City become latest club to announce sleeve sponsorship
Leicester City have announce that Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) will be the first ever official sleeve sponsors for the club.
SCB are a Thai financial services provider and will have their logo on the sleeve of Leicester City shirts from this season.
In addition, SCB will have a strong brand presence throughout the King Power Stadium and across interview backdrops and digital advertising boards, as well as on the clubs' social media platforms.
The financial terms of the agreement are undisclosed. Manchester City became the Premier League's first team to have a shirt sleeve sponsor when they signed a £10 million deal with tyre company Nexen in March. Leicester City will not have been able to demand a figure as high as Manchester City, but they will be likely to expect a total fee in the region of £7.5 million.
“The SCB partnership is one we can be extremely proud of, as attracting one of the strongest, most reputable financial institutions in Thailand shows the kind of impact Leicester City is continuing to make in the country,” said Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, vice chairman of Leicester City. “Over the last seven years, we have built a series of partnerships with blue chip companies in Thailand and East Asia that have truly strengthened the bond between the club and the region.
