Liverpool draw could be worth £1 million to Plymouth Argyle
Plymouth Argyle's draw against Liverpool on Sunday could earn the club more than £1 million according to the club chairman, James Brent.
Plymouth put in a resilient defensive display against a Liverpool side which was the youngest they have ever fielded.
With the replay likely to be on TV it will mean that Plymouth will have appeared on TV three times so far in the FA Cup this season. Plymouth will also receive a share of the gate receipts from Sunday's match which had an attendance of 52,692.
"It's approximately 20% of our turnover," Brent said.
He added: "We took 35,000 to Wembley [for last season's League Two play-off final] and we only have about 16,000 tickets to sell.
"I personally think it's a great competition. It gives you the ability to pit your team against teams at a higher level and it gives you the ability to market your brand more widely.
"The Liverpool-Plymouth match was televised in the United States, China, India - it's a great opportunity for a club of our size to promote itself around the world."
