 Football News 24/

Liverpool comfortably beat last seasons Premier League champions Leicester in their first game at Anfield of the season 4-1.

Liverpool were in control when Roberto Firmino converted after a James Milner's pass. The second goal came when Daniel Sturridge backheeled to Sadio Mane to make it 2-0.

Leicester were given hope of a comeback on the 38 minute mark when Lucas inexplicably passed the ball to Jamie Vardy to score in to an empty net

Adam Lallana sealed the win by firing a shot into the top corner of the net from near the edge of the box. Firmino got his second and the fourth for Liverpool when he collected a Mane pass after Mane.

The win meant Liverpool are up to seven points from a possible twelve.
