Manchester United announce partnership with Korean footwear brand

Sbenu, which has already seen rapid growth and is popular among South Korean’s of all ages, will have the exclusive rights to produce and market Manchester United branded casual footwear.
It comes just days after the Old Trafford club announced a global partnership with leading IT services company HCL Technologies.
The HCL deal will lead to the creation of a number of digital initiatives which will aim to transform the experience of United's 659m followers.
United’s group managing director Richard Arnold said Sbenu has just opened its 100th store in South Korea.
“Sbenu is a popular brand in Korea and we look forward to seeing the Manchester United crest on their products," he added.
"Having recently opened its 100th store and soon to be opening its 100th franchise we are confident these products will be attractive to our 15m South Korean fans.”
Sbenu chief executive Hyo-Jin HWANG said: “Sbenu has quickly gained market reputation and became a household name in South Korea for its continued commitment to product and marketing innovation.
“Through our partnership with Manchester United, the world’s biggest football club, we look forward to delivering innovative co-marketing initiatives to the fans to ensure Sbenu stays at the forefront of their mind as South Korea’s leading shoe brand.”
