Manchester United renew sponsorship deal

Manchester United have agreed a new five-year extension of the sponsorship deal with Russia’s flag carrying airline Aeroflot.

The extension means that Aeroflot will continue as the official carrier of the club. Aeroflot will provide the club with strategic advice on travel for the first team and their officials. The original sponsorship deal was signed in 2013.

Manchester United are yet to confirm the renewal, the Chief Executive for Aeroflot, Vitaliy Savelyev has said that the deal has been extended.

"We have recently re-signed the contract with Manchester United," said Savelyev. "It is intended for five years. The agreement will come into force after the previous contract expires.”

The financial terms are undisclosed but reports suggest that Manchester United will receive about £32 million for the deal.
