Manchester United to sign Real Madrid's Gareth Bale?

According to The Express the club’s owners the Glazers want to go down the Galacticos route to increase United’s value with an eventual asking price of £3 billion if they eventually decide to sell.
United actually offered Spurs more than the world record £86 million Real Madrid handed over when Bale left White Hart Lane 18 months ago but by then the transfer to the Bernabeu was too far down the line.
Even then the player wasn’t adverse to a move to Old Trafford and it’s believed that the prospect of a return to this country at the end of the season appeals to him and his family.
United are currently 3rd in the Premier League after their six match winning run was halted at Villa Park on Saturday. Despite being a man up United failed to capitalise with Louis van Gaal admitting it was two points dropped.
