Morecambe under transfer embargo
Speaking to BBC Lancashire, Morecambe manager, Jim Bentley has confirmed that the club are currently under a transfer embargo from the EFL.
The embargo has been placed on the club due to boardroom issues as last week the club revealed they their new majority shareholder had failed to "deliver on promised investment". Bentley said that he "hoped the embargo would be lifted" when the new owner came in however, this hasn't been the case due to the boardroom problems an because players are being paid their wages partially by outside organisations.
Morecambe were also placed under a transfer embargo for exceeding more than the 60% of income that can be spent on wages regulation in January 2009.
