New Mills sign new partnership

New Mills have agreed a partnership deal with The Football College.

The Football College, who are based at Bury’s Gigg Lane, are an organisation that offer academic qualifications alongside player pathways from Grassroots to the Professional Football League.

The partnership with the New Mills will see home fixtures for The Football College Elite Youth Squad being played at the New Mills first team ground, Church Lane.

In addition, players will have the opportunity to progress from The Football College Elite Youth Squad to the New Mills first team squad who play in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division.

The Football College’s Head of Football, Paul Iannaccone said ''This is a significant step for the future of The Football College and our players. Creating a partnership with a fantastic club at the North West Counties level will hopefully see many of our talented players get the opportunity to progress up to this standard of football.’’

The New Mills Chairman Ray Coverley said ''As Chairman of New Mills AFC, myself and the Committee are thrilled that this exciting partnership will be in place for the start of next season.”
