Newcastle United restart life in the Premier League at home to Tottenham

Newcastle United will start their return to the Premier League at home to last seasons runners up, Tottenham.

Newcastle won to Championship last season to return to the top flight at the first time of asking. Ironically the last match that Newcastle played in the Premier League before being relegated was also at home to Tottenham. They will be hoping for a repeat result of that match as they beat Tottenham 5-1 on that day.

Newcastle's first away match will be a trip to the John Smiths Stadium to face fellow newly promoted side Huddersfield Town. They face a tough looking last day of the season when they face Chelsea at St James Park.
