Newly named Vanarama National Conference welcomes Guiseley and Boreham Wood after play-off wins

Boreham Wood`s victory over Whitehawk in Saturday`s Vanarama Conference South final at Meadow Park ensures two new names join the league for the first season of the newly named Vanarama National League

With Guiseley AFC winning the northern final, it means two new clubs plying their trade amongst the elite of non-League football in 2015/16.

It took  extra-time to decide which side would take their place in the top tier and less than 2 minutes of overtime had elapsed when Boreham Wood re-took the lead with Junior Morias lashing a half-volley beyond Hawks` keeper Craig Ross.

Substitute Ahmed Abdulla came close to levelling for Whitehawk near the end with a 20-yard effort, but Wood held firm to win promotion.
