Non-League: Evo Stik side Tividale sign record sponsorship deal

Evo Stik Northern Premier League side Tividale have signed the most lucrative sponsorship deal in their history according to the club's website.

Delighted Dale officials have announced that Buildbase, one of the UK’s fastest growing builders’ merchants with nearly 200 branches, have signed a two year home and away shirt sponsorship deal.

As part of the agreement, unveiled last week ahead of the leagues AGM in Blackpool, Buildbase branding will be seen around The Beeches until the summer of 2017 as well as on the front of one of Tividale academy’s teams.

After unveiling the deal with their local branch of the builders' merchants at Cradley Heath, the First Division South club's head of communications Steven Beech said: “I’m delighted to welcome Buildbase as our Principal Sponsor. The fact we’ve been able to attract such an established brand underlines the progress of Tividale Football & Social Club, both on and off the field.

“Becoming the club’s principal sponsor will further enhance the Buildbase brand and extend its reach to new domestic audiences. I’d like to thank [local branch manager] John Goudge and [Buildbase managing director] Kate Tinsley for their assistance through this process.

“We’re looking forward to forming a strong working relationship with Buildbase and the Grafton Group collectively, as we embark on our second season playing in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League, Division One South.”

Tividale's football general manager, Leon Murray, added: “I’d like to welcome Buildbase on board here at Tividale Football & Social Club. There’s been a lot of hard work taking place over the course of the past six months and we’ve attracted a company of Buildbase’s calibre as a result.

“Partnerships of this nature are extremely important, particularly when you’re playing Step 4 Football. Pre-season is about to get underway and we’re looking forward to the start of the new season with our new management team, likewise with Buildbase.”

Buildbase also operates Hirebase, a tool, plant and equipment business, alongside both Plumbase and Electricbase.

Buildbase MD Tinsley said: “We’re excited to have the opportunity to offer our support to the local football team and we’re looking forward to welcoming fans and players alike to Buildbase in the near future. This is a great initiative and builds on the ‘local’ aspect of our business across the UK.”
