North Shields lift FA vase by beating Glossop North End

A crowd of just under 10,000 were at Wembley for the amateur FA Cup- the FA vase - and North Shields repeated their last win - back in 1969 - by coming from behind to beat Glossop North End in extra time.

The North East side last win the famous trophy in 1969 against Sutton, and it has been a 46 year wait for a repeat.

Adam Forster's 95th minute strike secured a 2-1 victory after they had levelled the game with just ten minutes on the clock.
