Northampton Town sack former Gillingham boss
Former Gillingham manager Justin Edinburgh has been sacked by League 1 rivals Northampton Town.
Edinburgh took over at Northampton in January - just two weeks after he was sacked by Gills chairman Paul Scally.
But his stay at Sixfields has ended after just eight months at the helm with the club rock bottom of the table.
Northampton have lost all four league matches this season - including a 4-1 thrashing at Charlton when they looked disorganised in defence.
Their last league match was a 4-1 home defeat by Peterborough when Edinburgh stuck to a three-man defensive unit despite calls from fans to revert to a back four.
Edinburgh had started his managerial career with Northampton's once neighbours - the now defunct Rushden and Diamonds.
