Nottingham Forest sign deal with John Pye Auctions
John Pye Auctions has signed an extension to its sponsorship agreement with Championship side Nottingham Forrest.
The auction company has became the first auction house to back a professional football club when it became the Forests' shirt sponsor in the 2012-13 season.
Despite no longer being included on the shirt, it has retained prominent signage around the City Ground and will now be a commercial partner of the club for a fourth consecutive season. The deal will be their largest since being a shirt sponsor.
Its branding will adorn the Trent End, players' tunnel, back of the dugouts and pitchside, with 3D mats picked up by TV cameras.
The agreement with Nottingham Forest will also include the return of the Garibaldi Golden Goal Gamble – the half-time competition that involves Nottinghamshire football volunteers playing for prizes that will help benefit local grassroots children's football.
John Pye Auctions MD and principal auctioneer Adam Pye said: "We are proud to be supporting Nottingham Forest as commercial sponsorship partners for the fourth consecutive season.
"John Pye Auctions continues to grow nationally and internationally but our roots are firmly in Nottingham and we all want to see Nottingham Forest back in the top flight.
"With as much positive support on and off the pitch, with a bright new manager at the helm and a strong squad, there's no reason why that cannot be possible. We're looking forward to the rest of the season ahead."
Nottingham Forest commercial manager Mark Bullock said "John Pye Auctions has over the past 40 years created an extremely strong and reputable business with strong roots in Nottingham.
"Since joining the club in the 2012-13 season John Pye Auctions has been a wonderful addition to the Nottingham Forest family and we thank them for the support and confidence in extending and improving their commercial ties with the club.
"The outstanding growth and success achieved by John Pye Auctions is a credit to the vision, dedication and hard work of Adam and his team – values that are fundamental to Nottingham Forest Football Club."
