Oldham legend Frankie Bunn linked with vacant managers post
Bunn, who famously scored six goals in a 7-1 beating of Scarborough in a 1989 League Cup clash is currently coaching at Championship side Huddersfield Town.
Bunn has always been a favourite with Oldham fans despite his career being halted by a bad injury in 1990 - and Man United legend Paul Scholes once nominated Bunn as his all time favourite player - Scholes is after all a Latics fan.
Bunn has in his time been caretaker boss a role he undertook for a short spell at Coventry in 2007 after Iain Dowie was sacked. He has a growing reputation for bringing youngsters through and that will appeal to Oldham who have limited transfer funds at their disposal.
