The Motorpoint Stand, opened for the first time for Saturday’s home League One fixture against Swindon Town at London Road. But, they couldn't celebrate with a home win losing 2-1 to high flying Swindon on Saturday.
As part of the sponsorship agreement, a scoreboard is also set to be introduced.
The new stand, which used to hold away supporters, houses just under 2,600 seats which includes an area for disabled fans.
Posh chief executive Bob Symns said: “The football club are thrilled that Motorpoint have come forward to name our new stand. It is a great opportunity for Motorpoint and for the football club itself. The synergy is superb.
“Motorpoint will help our supporters and sponsors in their specialist field and they have contributed magnificently to the look of the new stand.
“They are going to put up a scoreboard in the not too distant future. This has all been agreed and the stand is being suitably dressed inside and outside thank to the support of Motorpoint.
“We look forward to a long partnership with Motorpoint and are delighted to be working with them.”
