Portsmouth announce loss for year ending June 2016

Portsmouth have announced they made a loss of nearly 500k for the year ending June 2016.

The loss follows a profit of just over £2,000 for the year ending June 2015.

However, in that period they did record an operating profit of £86,000, down from £358,000 in the previous year.

The club say that the loss is down to increased expenditure on club infrastructure at new training ground facility and Fratton Park.
