Portsmouth offer staff jobs after catering partner becomes insolvent
Championship side Portsmouth have confirmed that their catering partner Piglet's Pantry have engaged with insolvency practioners.
In a statement on their official website, the club said they were 'deeply concerned' with the company seemingly unable to pay their staff outstanding wages.
The Club also said they are 'liaising with the insolvency practitioners on an ongoing basis about these issues and are pressing them for urgent solutions.'
The club is now trying to resolve how they will manage their catering requirements for the remainder of the season, and has already confirmed they have 'invited all Piglet's Pantry staff to work with us at Fratton Park' and 'are pleased that there has already been a significant amount of interest expressed in our offer.'
Portsmouth's next fixture at Fratton Park will be against Sheffield United on the 14th February followed by Hull City on the 28th.
