Premier League: Manchester United's playing style 'not exactly what we want to see' according to Adidas chief

Manchester United's playing style has come under scrutiny from their own kit brand Adidas' chief executive.
Louis Van Gaal's team have been criticised in recent weeks for their lack of cutting edge and it seemed at one point that the Dutchman might be sacked or even resign after the club's worst winless run for over since the late 80's.
They did however get back to winning ways at the weekend with a 2-1 win over Swansea which saw them fifth in the table, and nine points behind leaders Arsenal.
Despite the small upturn in form against Swansea and Chelsea, who they played out a 0-0 draw with over the Christmas period, Van Gaal has endured a tough time from former players and fans who are unhappy with what they are seeing, and now the head of Adidas has also admitted they would like to see more from the side.
United began a £75m-a-year deal with Adidas at the start of the season and their chief executive Herbert Hainer, speaking to a publication in his native Germany said whilst"business with United is going very well" but expressed doubt about the team's "way of playing".
"We sell more jerseys than expected, the foreignh share is 60%. We are satisfied, even if the actual way of playing of United is not exactly what we want to see." he told Suddeutsche Zeitung.
For Louis Van Gaal the views of Hainer will be the least of his worries as he looks to turn United's season around. United will be in FA Cup action at the weekend, taking on League One side Sheffield United.
