Premier League: Fan who took free kick during Tottenham's 1-0 win over West Ham charged
The fan who ran on the pitch and took a free kick during the match between Tottenham and West Ham has been charged by Police.
Jordan Matthew Dunn, 22, of Dover in Kent, has been charged under Section 4 of the Football Offences Act 1991, which states it is an offence to enter the playing area without lawful authority.
Mr Dunn will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on 1 September.
As Tottenham prepared to take a set piece on the edge of West Ham's area, the fan ran across the pitch and hit the ball over the wall before it was saved by West Ham keeper Adrian.
Tottenham went down to 10 men after Kyle Naughton was judged to have cleared a certain goal off the line with his hands, but Mark Noble missed the resulting penalty for the Hammers.
They were made to pay after losing a man themselves with Spurs landing a last gasp sucker punch to win the game.
