Premier League: Is the dreaded 'vote of confidence' from Chelsea the end for Mourinho?

Premier League champions Chelsea have issued a concise, if somewhat brief, statement reiterating their support of manager Jose Mourinho.
With just two wins in the Premier League in their opening eight games, the champions are currently 16th in the league, and ten points behind current leaders Manchester City.
With Brendan Rodgers and Dick Advocaat departing Liverpool and Sunderland over the weekend, Chelsea have moved quickly to ensure that their stance on Mourinho's future is clear.
"The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support." a statement said on the club's official website.
"As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team's performances must improve. However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it."
A 'vote of confidence' such as this has acquired a cult status as more often than not, no sooner have a club backed their manager that they inevitably get sacked.
