Football News 24/7

Liverpool supporters' groups will stage a walkout at Anfield tomorrow during Liverpool's match with Sunderland in a protest over ticket prices.

The club recently announced their ticket prices for next season, with the newly redeveloped Main Stand costing as much as £77 a ticket.

The Spion Kop 1906 group - backed by the Spirit of Shankly (SoS) have appealed to fans to walk out in the 77th minute as a gesture of their anger over the increase.

A statement from the SoS read, "The outcome is extremely disappointing and a missed opportunity for Liverpool to lead in a fairer approach to ticket prices."

"We believe it is right and fair to lower ticket prices in order to sustain our support and subsequently the atmosphere inside Anfield."

The club however have highlighted that their has been a freeze or reduction in price in a number of season tickets as well as match-day ones.

Jurgen Klopp's men take on Sunderland as they look to regroup after a 2-0 defeat to Leicester in midweek, with Jamie Vardy's double denting Liverpool's chances of European qualification this season.
