Premier League: Manchester City will dress like champions after agreeing formal wear deal with T.M Lewin
Premier League Champions Manchester City last week announced T.M. Lewin as the Club’s new Official Formal Wear Partner.
The two year partnership will see the leading British shirt maker and tailor provide the official team suits, shirts and ties for Manuel Pellegrini’s men.
Players including Vincent Kompany, David Silva, Samir Nasri and Edin Dzeko will wear the bespoke suits while traveling to UEFA Champions League games across Europe, and Cup Finals throughout the season.
As part of the deal, T.M. Lewin shot a 1950’s inspired campaign featuring Sergio Aguero, Fernando, Jesus Navas and Gael Clichy donning their new Perry Suits.
City supporters are also being encouraged to show off their sartorial style and football skills in a new T.M. Lewin social media campaign.
Titled Suited and Booted, lucky Blues’ fans are being asked to upload an image or video of themselves looking sharp, in order to not only win a weekend away for them and three friends up to the value of £2,000, but also head-to-toe outfits from the T.M.Lewin Autumn Winter Range too.
Commenting on the partnership, Chief Business Officer for Manchester City, Tom Glick, said: “Like Manchester City, T.M.Lewin is a brand steeped in history and innovation."
"Renowned for their outstanding craftsmanship and quality, they are not only a much loved British tailor, but an international label also with stores in Europe, Singapore and Australia. We look forward to working together at home and abroad during the coming seasons.”
T.M.Lewin CEO, Geoff Quinn, added “We are delighted to be adding Manchester City to our portfolio of sporting partnerships. To be working with the Premier League Champions is a particular honour and we look forward to helping the squad maintain their world class image off the pitch, during what we are confident will be an exciting and successful season for them.”
City got the defence of their Premier League crown off to a winning start with a 2-0 win over Newcastle. They will certainly be hoping they stay as sharp on the pitch as they will be off it.
