QPR launch new kit

 Football News 24/
QPR’s unveiled their new kits for the 2016/17 season on Wednesday night, with a throwback to the iconic blue and white hooped strips of the early-mid-eighties.

Revealed at Smarkets https://smarkets.com/ HQ in London, popular R’s trio Grant Hall, Tjaronn Chery and Sebastian Polter were in attendance, as the new-look DRYWORLD kits were revealed to an audience of R’s fans, with the launch streamed live on QPR’s official Facebook page.
Director of Football Les Ferdinand, Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Club Ambassador Andy Sinton were also in attendance, alongside CEO Lee Hoos and other dignitaries from Smarkets and DRYWORLD.
The new home shirt – which was designed with a combination of the club’s two best-selling home jerseys from the early-mid-eighties in mind – features the classic bold blue and white hoop design on the jersey, complemented by a classy red, white and blue V-neck collar. The home jersey is completed by white shorts with a blue trim, and white socks with a red and blue trim.

After recent Dennis the Menace designs, the club has opted for a fresh, innovative strip for the away kit for season 2016/17. The away jersey boasts a bold duck egg blue and black-hooped design, accentuated by horizontal white piping. The away kit shorts are duck egg blue with a black trim, with the duck egg blue socks complemented by a black and white trim.
The third kit jersey features a burgundy and yellow hooped shirt, with the latter providing a classy thin, piped hoop. The third jersey is complemented by burgundy shorts with a yellow trim, and burgundy socks with a white and yellow trim.

QPR defender Nedum Onuoha is confident the new kits will be popular amongst the R’s supporters, commenting: “I think that DRYWORLD have done very, very well – especially given the fact that this is their first season as our kit manufacturer.

“No doubt our fans will appreciate the hoops going all the way round again on the home shirt.

“Hopefully we can be successful with these kits. I’m sure we’ll see lots of fans in the shirts throughout the year.”

As confirmed last week, owing to shipping delays, the club can confirm that the in-store kit launch, initially scheduled for July 2nd, will now be rearranged for a later date.

However, the club can confirm that supporters will be able to purchase kits in the pre-sale period online from Friday (July 1st) - at www.shop.qpr.co.uk - to coincide with the R's first pre-season friendly fixture of the campaign against Aldershot Town.
