Tickets.com confirmed as official ticketing supplier for Ross County FC

The long term agreement will see the club using Tickets.com’s ProVenue® suite of products to manage sales for all home fixtures, away games and travel
Tickets.com’s ProVenue® suite of products will be used as the platform for supporting all ticketing requirements for the club, which started with season ticket renewals and ticket sales for the 2015/16 season’s opening fixtures.
Ross County chairman Roy MacGregor was behind the move to source a new ticketing supplier, as part of the club’s wider strategy to improve fan experience: “We’ve undergone a number of changes at the club over the past year, all of which are focused on not only delivering a better match day experience, but also ensuring we are better connected with our fans,” explains Roy.
“Our new ticketing system forms a major part of this; not only will it mean that our fans can purchase tickets anytime, with the assurance of a secure and easy to use platform, but the data capture and marketing tools that it offers means that we will have a greater insight into fans’ requirements and purchasing behaviours and be able to tailor our communications accordingly.”
The new software will be fully integrated with the club’s existing technologies and it can also be used with stadium access control systems; a development that the club is discussing for the start of next season. As well as a new ticketing system, Ross County has also recently introduced a Wi-Fi network and opened a new club shop and bar at the Global Energy Stadium.
Tickets.com came recommended to Ross County by fellow Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen, who has been a Tickets.com customer since 2013.
“The turnaround time from meeting with Tickets.com to getting the system live was remarkably quick,” explains David O’Connor, stadium and services manager at Ross County.
“Within just six weeks we had a bespoke ticketing system in place and all staff fully trained in time to meet our ticket sales launch deadline; none of which would have been possible without the hard work of Tickets.com’s support team, who are not only extremely knowledgeable, but who have also taken the time to understand our requirements and work with us to deliver a system that we are very pleased with.”
Ross County FC is the latest addition to a portfolio of more than 300 UK based sport, arts and entertainment venues, with a growing number of professional football clubs which include fellow Scottish Premiership sides Aberdeen, Dundee and Dundee United, English Premiership side Chelsea FC alongside a host of Football League clubs. In 2014, Tickets.com was also named the official ticketing supplier to the British Basketball League and, more recently, the official ticketing partner to the new National Speedway Stadium in Manchester.
Commenting on the agreement, Giles Bayliss, business development director at Tickets.com, said: “From our first meeting with Roy and James, the impact that the new system could have in line with the club’s wider objectives became clear and was something that we were very confident we could deliver, even on the tight timescale.
“As just one of a number of developments that the club is undergoing in order to improve its fan experience, it’s an exciting time to be working with them and the flexibility of the system means it can grow and develop alongside the club’s aims.”
