Sheffield Weds and Cardiff City slug it out as MK Dons relegated
Middlesbrough, Burnley and Brighton, having all secured at least a play-off spot in the Championship, are all level on 87 points at the top of the Championship after Boro drew at Ipswich and Brighton won at Charlton. Burnley stay top on goal difference only.
Cardiff won in stoppage time to move within four points of Sheffield Wednesday, who drew at Derby, for the final play-off spot, with two games left. They will slug it out next week as the sides meet at Hillsborough with a win for either side likely to prove decisive.
It was bad news for everyone's favourite second team - MK Dons who have been relegated after losing at home to Brentford. They join Bolton and Charlton in League One next season, ensuring the safety of teams like Bristol City, Fulham, Rotherham and Blackburn.
If anyone deserves manager of the season it might be Neil Warnock. He has steered Rotherham from almost certain relegation when he took over after Christmas with a run of promotion level form.
