Spurs stay at Wembley until March

The club took their latest decision after consultation with their contractors.

"I should like to apologise to our fans and thank you for your continued patience," said Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

"The response from those who attended the familiarisation event was great to hear and reinforced our commitment to deliver an exceptional matchday experience for everyone," added Levy.

The club must host two test events in order to gain their safety certificate to move into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

"We shall now seek clarity in respect of building test schedules and test event dates and provide further information on these in the next two to three weeks."

Tottenham have a North London clash against Arsenal March 2nd which is unlikely to be held at the new stadium over safety concerns. Another North London side in Crystal Palace is likely the first game at the new stadium on March 16th.

Round of 16 home tie against Borussia Dortmund and a potential fifth round home game in the FA cup will be played at the National Stadium.

Other home games after this Sunday's battle with Manchester United include Watford, Newcastle and Leicester respectively.
