Stoke City gate increase as they beat Arsenal
It was a good day for Stoke City - not only did they record a great win over Arsenal 1-0 - the win was watched by the largest Premier League crowd at the stadium - 29,459
The increase is a result of this summer’s multi-million pound stadium expansion works which has seen the South East corner ‘filled in', raising the overall capacity at the home of the Potters to over 30,000.
The club also made 400 new seats available to families in an extended Family area.
Anthony Emmerson, Stoke City's Supporter Growth and Services Manager, said: “The Family Area is a hugely popular section of the stadium and regularly sells out to Season Card holders.
“Our Club is famous throughout football for having a large number of loud and loyal Season Card holders but we should never lose sight of the fact that we need to encourage the next generation of fans to come through
“We have reserved a section of the Family Area for families who want to attend games initially via matchday tickets. From here, we are confident a lifetime of support can be created.”
